According to the Argentine News Agency, Pepe Ochoa reported on social media that the accident occurred when “Tato” turned at an unmarked and unlit curve, causing the crash. The initial version circulating on social media claimed the impact was so severe that the vehicle might have overturned; however, this was later denied. To prevent the spread of false rumors, host Santiago del Moro preferred to be the one to release the real information, doing so during the Big Brother debate gala. “He had a crash in Uruguay. To clear up any doubts, he assured that the influencer is in good shape. The car suffered considerable damage, but he is very well. A hug to him,” the host revealed. Although they warned that his health is not in danger, journalist Laura Ubfall reassured his followers and stated that Tato did not even require medical hospitalization after the crash.
