The family of former footballer Martín Demichelis experienced a dramatic incident during their vacation in Uruguay. The incident occurred on December 31st at Laguna Escondida beach in José Ignacio. Demichelis, his son Bastian, and his niece Camila decided to go for a swim in the sea, but a strong current began to pull them out to sea. Fortunately, two lifeguards who were off duty noticed the dangerous situation and intervened in time, saving the lives of all three. The location of the incident is known as "Hidden Lake," and swimming is prohibited there due to strong currents and the absence of lifeguard posts.
