The oath-taking ceremony took place in the Legislative Palace of Montevideo, where the political leader received applause from legislators and guests. With this oath, Orsi becomes the 43rd constitutional president of Uruguay, in a ceremony that took place at 14:26 local time (17:26 GMT).
